About us 

We are more than a salon we are an Artist Space specializing in hair color and cut services, makeup artistry, and photography that provides a professional Zen like experience with an artistic flair. We focus on keeping a peaceful environment where you’ll never have to scream to be heard, we prefer to maintain a boutique like experience. We don’t book services close together so we can focus on your service without distraction.

1st appointment

Your first appointment may take longer than expected. Come to the appointment how you normally wear your hair so I can see first hand what are your areas of concern. Pictures really help me to understand your target goals. In a haircut I might start your cut dry so I can get an accurate read of your hair before we go to the shampoo bowl. If we’re doing a color and cut I might cut a rough outline of the shape so we can ensure the color is tailored to your cut.

I will take pictures of the back of head before and after to ensure we achieve the desired outcome when finished. These pictures will go in your file so we remember what we did and can fine tune as needed on your next visit.

Parking and Building

We are along the outside walkway in the front of the building look for the yellow sign on the door The Collective.

There is plenty of parking but please note from 9am-10am and 4pm-6pm the parking lot gets full so keep that in mind and give yourself extra time to get to your appointment. The building complex is comprised of kids focused activities such as swimming, gymnastics, and karate as well as photographers, chiropractors and physical therapists.

Are you open for walk ins?

We are an appointment only salon but can take the occasional walk in as time permits. We have a very flexible appointment schedule and can get you in on short notice but to ensure proper timing we ask that you book online or text first.

What are your days off?

Currently we are booking 7 days a week 8am-8pm taking our last color service at 6pm!

Do you offer new guest discounts?

We offer referral discounts currently but offer discounts to our returning clients only which is 20% off through a members only portal after your 4th visit. You can combine your referral discounts for each guest who enjoys a service at the Collective Artist Space.

Do you serve wine or spirits?

No, In order to minimize cost and liability we have chosen at this time not to serve wine. For wedding parties etc you may bring your own alcohol but must keep it to a safe amount in accordance with the laws of the state. We do however have coffee, tea, water, and sodas as well as snacks for your convenience and there is a smoothie shop inside the building with incredible smoothies and snacks.

Photography Rental Info

1000 sq ft of convertible space to shoot. Walls are multi-function for backdrop options white (natural light) Ivy wall, light gray, corrugated tin, dark gray, black, white (studio lighting)  Full service salon and photography studio with plenty of room for workshops and multiple hair and makeup artists. 70+ Gowns and wardrobe items available for a flat fee per studio rental. Please book in advance so gowns can be pre-steamed. Lighting is also available for a flat fee! 

Shooting Rules 

Please keep a safe environment for our guests and artists by keeping alcohol consumption to a minimum, no smoking, and have models use private changing areas on site when getting into wardrobe. This is a front facing salon and studio space so decorum and professionalism is a must as there are all age groups walking by. Any complaints about photo shoots will result in a ban from the space. Please follow rules of the building that will be discussed during booking and keep polarizing conversation and profanity to a minimum so all guests of the studio feel safe.
